WHO WE ARE
Here at Manteca Gospel Rescue Mission, we know that sometimes all it takes to change the world is a little support. Since our founding in 2015, we have been determined to make an impact in the lives of people in need in the greater Manteca area. We help individuals who are homeless, in need, or just need some good friends. Our heart is to create an atmosphere of hope for those that have none.
ACTIVITIES
The MGRM Resource Center issues DMV identification vouchers to the unsheltered, and provides referrals for employment, emergency shelter, housing, and recovery programs. Catholic Charities completes online (C4 Yourself) applications for individuals who need CalfreshSNAP. MediCal can also be applied for during the application process. The Care Link medical staff is accesible by referral and provides medical care, behavioral health care and counseling. Survival backpacks are provided to unsheltered persons, and food pantry calendars are given to those in need of food. MGRM also maintains a clothes closet for individuals needing clothing. We develop job resumes, set up record expungement appointments; connect people with veteran resources and offer general and pastoral counseling and transportation to appointments.
